John qualified from Sheffield University in 1991. After qualifying he worked as a House Officer for a year at the Charles Clifford Dental Hospital, increasing his skills in all aspects of dental care. John’s surgical skills were further developed with Senior House Officer posts in Maxillo-Facial surgery in hospitals for a period of 4 years. During these years he obtained his Fellowship from the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons in London. After a period of time spent travelling, including time working in general practice in Auckland, New Zealand, he returned to the Brentwood area to work in the family practice. On the retirement of his father, Gerry, John took over the running of the practice. John’s philosophy is to listen carefully to his patient’s own preferences and requirements, which combined with his extensive experience will then result in solutions that are tailor made for each of his patients.
