Qualified with honours as a dental surgeon in 2005 from Guys, Kings and St Thomas school of dentistry, University of London. After qualifying, Dr Welch moved back to Wales and did his vocational training in Cardigan. In 2006 Dr Welch became an associate dentist in a dental practice in Neath. In 2010 he became a member of the faculty of dental surgery, The Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. After working in Neath for 7 years he decided it was time to buy his own practice and has become the principal dentist here in Park Street Dental. Dr Welch is up to date with the latest advances in dentistry and regularly attends continual professional development courses, which have included a one-year implant course, adult orthodontics, and composite bonding courses. Dr Welch believes in pain-free dentistry and focuses on prevention and individually tailored oral health programs for all his patients. He understands how distressing dental phobia can be. Dr Welch undertakes all types of cosmetic dentistry from veneers, and composite bonding to clear braces.
