Ryan qualified in 2001 and thereafter spent three years in a General Dental Practice. He worked in Hospital Dental Services as a Senior House Officer and Staff Grade in Paediatrics and Restorative Dentistry during which he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He then undertook a four-year part-time specialist training program in Periodontics at the University of Sheffield. This culminated in a Master of Clinical Dentistry from the University of Sheffield and Membership in Restorative Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2012. He is a member of British Society of Periodontology and European Federation of Periodontology. He has also been a Clinical Teacher in Restorative Dentistry at the University of Sheffield before moving to Brighton. He is committed to excellence in patient care, and providing successful treatment outcomes in a kind, gentle, and caring environment. Outside of dentistry, Ryan enjoys all sports especially football (he supports Man U), he also enjoys music and likes playing Spanish guitar. Most importantly, he loves spending time with his young family.
