Richard qualified from the University of Bristol in 2015 and then did two years of Foundation and Core Training in West Sussex, including a year working in the Maxillofacial Unit of Western Sussex Hospitals Trust. He completed a master’s degree in Primary Care Dentistry at the University of Kent in 2018. He is also a qualified member of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons and Physicians, Glasgow. He enjoys all aspects of dentistry, but he particularly enjoys the opportunity it gives him to help people to understand and solve their dental problems together. He likes to get patients involved in their treatment planning, so they can be aware of the options available to them. He also works in the local out-of-hours Emergency Dental Service and is due to start work at the Community Dental Service at Morley Street, Brighton. He first joined the practice in 2019 and sadly departed in 2021 to pursue new ventures. He was then given the opportunity to return to the practice in the Spring of 2022 and now works Tuesdays and Fridays as an associate dentist. He is quite an active person and enjoys running, cycling, and the gym regularly, with his passion for playing cricket in the summer. He loves to read, his favourite authors currently are Haruki Murakami, Kazuo Ishiguro, David Sedaris, and Laurie Lee.
