Dr Tasnim Choudhury graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from King’s College London and completed specialty training in Periodontology also with King’s College London at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. Subsequently Tasnim obtained a Master’s in Clinical Dentistry in Periodontology and awarded Membership of Periodontics by the Royal College of Surgeons in England.Whilst pursuing specialist training, Tasnim was an undergraduate clinical teacher and examiner in Periodontology at King’s College London. She also led the Level 2 NHS pathway in Periodontics at Thames Valley Trust and worked in several specialist private practices in London and the south east.Before specialising, Tasnim gained extensive experience across various dental specialties, including oral surgery, sedation, special care, general, paediatric and restorative dentistry. She completed an MSc in General Dental Practice, with a particular focus on education, training and bone grafting. Concurrently, Tasnim was a clinical undergraduate tutor in general dentistry with King’s College London, and led many oral health promotion initiatives both within the community and schools across London.Tasnim has published papers on periodontal risk factors and is currently involved in dental research into advanced techniques for the management of periodontitis. Tasnim was a finalist for the British Society of Periodontology’s Sir Wilfred Fish Prize and presented her research at the BSP national annual conference.Tasnim is passionate about delivering tailored and evidence-based periodontal care to her patients, ensuring they receive the highest standard of treatment in a supportive and patient-focused environment. She continues to mentor and guide qualified dentists and is often invited to present and share her knowledge and experience with colleagues across the UK. Tasnim has a special interest in the management of advanced periodontal disease, recession and crown lengthening procedures and is happy to accept referrals.
