Dr Addys Del Rio Peon

Addys, originally from Cuba, graduated in dentistry at the European University of Madrid in 2010. She worked with an NGO helping people who couldn’t afford dental treatment, after this she decided to move to the UK where she has been working since. She has achieved great experience in general dentistry working in Gobowen, Penrhyndeudreth, Mold and Colwyn Bay. Addys finished in July 2019 a 2 year World recognized Masters Degree in Endodontics in Madrid, Spain. This Masters has given her skills and knowledge to achieve satisfactorily multiple complex cases such as treatment in single and multi-rooted teeth, root canal revascularization, apicoformation with bioceramic materials, calcified canals, re-treatments, treatment of perforations, periapical surgery, treatment of teeth with complex anatomy including: entomolaris, curved canals and multiple canals, training in all different rotatory files systems, microscope and CBCT scan, treatment of dental trauma, training with different obturation techniques. Her Masters thesis was an investigation in Fracture Resistance of teeth obturated with different techniques. Over these years Addys has been upgrading her skills and knowledge attending different courses in different areas of dentistry. For example: In 2014 she went back to Cuba to attend a surgical residency where she learnt to surgically extract wisdom teeth and retained roots. In 2015 she finished a one year Masters in Occlusion and Prosthodontics in the European School of Oral Rehabilitation, Implantology and Biomaterials (ESORIB). This masters included 10 theoretical and practical modules that made Addys improve her skills from small to big oral rehabilitations both in the functional and aesthetic aspect. Since 2017 she has been a member of the Spanish Society of Endodontics (AEDE) In her spare time Addys loves spending time with her family and her dog Max. She loves reading and traveling, she has visited more than forty countries.
