After graduating from Guy’s Hospital in 2000 Toby completed his training in general practice in Eastbourne. He then worked in the Oral surgery departments in Eastbourne DGH and the Royal Sussex Hospital in Brighton. These positions allowed him to gain vital surgical experience and enabled him to study for membership of the Royal College of Surgeons. In 2005 he was awarded the Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons – and began his association with West Terrace Dental Practice – joining Trevor and Andrew as a partner, in 2009. Toby enjoys the variation that general practice offers especially working with many generations of the same family. His works encompasses all aspects of restorative dentistry including cosmetic, implant and preventative dentistry. He is an advocate of minimal intervention dentistry and strives to improve his patients oral health and appearance by enthusing his patients to become involved in their own care. Toby is also a founding director of Dr Heff’s which makes novel oral supplements to help with reducing tooth decay and tooth wear. Outside of the practice, Toby enjoys spending time with his wife Emma, and two children Mylo (18)and Tomasina (16). In an attempt to control the fear of an expanding waistline, he runs many miles each week – sometimes with his dog Forrest who always wins. When conditions (and time) allow, he can also be found attempting to ride his surfboard, both in the Channel and on the Atlantic Coast in Cornwall.
