Dr Alexandra Young

Alex graduated from Dundee Dental School in 2008 and proceeded to complete 2 years post-graduate training in practice in Dundee and the community hospital in Fife. After relocating to Glasgow in 2010 she began working at Calderwood Dental practice. In summer 2019, Alex purchased the practice and is now the principal dentist. Over the years working here she has built up a loyal patient following with her friendly and calm manner. Alex enjoys treating a diverse range of patients and is competent at improving patient smiles via short-term orthodontic systems including Inman Aligners and Clear Aligners. She has completed multiple accredited training courses for facial aesthetic techniques including Botox and Fillers, and has become experienced at providing high quality and safe treatments to patients. She is a VDP trainer where she mentors newly qualified dentists. Outside of work Alex loves spending time with her husband, and daughters which keep her busy. In any spare time she gets she enjoys keeping fit by running and going to the gym.
