Professor Andrew Eder is a leading restorative dentist and prosthodontist, clinical academic, strategic board adviser and charity trustee. With a focus on excellence and innovation in clinical dentistry and dental education, he has been in Private Practice in central London for over 30 years and is recognised by the General Dental Council as a Specialist in Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics. Throughout his career, Professor Eder has provided high quality care for patients with complex oral health needs and contributed to the training of postgraduates and NHS trainees. He is also Emeritus Professor at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute and formerly Consultant in Restorative Dentistry at UCLH and Pro-Vice-Provost at UCL. As Co-Editor of the British Dental Journal book on Tooth Wear, Professor Eder has a special interest in caring for patients with worn teeth. He has published extensively and has also served on the Editorial Boards of the British Dental Journal, the European Journal of Prosthodontics and Restorative Dentistry and the Journal of Dentistry and Oral Sciences. Professor Eder is Board Chair at the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges and a past President of Alpha Omega, the British Society for Restorative Dentistry and the Royal Society of Medicine’s Dental Section. At the Royal College of Surgeons of England, he is an elected Board Member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery and Chair of the Restorative Specialty Membership Examinations.
