Tom treats patients requiring complex and advanced restorative treatment including surgical placement and restoration of dental implants. His areas of particular interest include aesthetic implant dentistry and management of complex restorative cases including functional and aesthetic rehabilitation of patients. Tom was appointed to a specialist training position in Restorative Dentistry, exploring the theory and practical procedures across a multidisciplinary specialty; these include prosthodontics, periodontology and endodontics. Therefore, is happy to take referrals in these fields. He also has a keen interest in research and has published on prosthodontics, periodontology and implant dentistry. Tom also teaches and mentors on a post-graduate implant diploma, helping to train other dentists in implant dentistry. Tom has been funded to undertake a PhD in the field of Dental Implantology, which will include a clinical trial for which he was awarded a prestigious Large Clinical Grant from the ITI.
