Amir moved to the Lakes from South Wales with more than a decade of experience in dentistry. "Never stop learning" is his motto. He devotes a great deal of his time to further education that was only started with his graduation from dental school in 2004 and continued tirelessly ever since. He has held various clinical posts over years including, senior house officer in oral surgery- Cardiff Dental Hospital and in maxillofacial surgery- Royal Derby Hospital, a year of vocational training in Brecon and three years as a dental officer for Herefordshire NHS Trust's community dental service. Amir is an associate fellow of College of General Dentistry. He has also obtained a postgraduate diploma in conscious sedation for dentistry from Guy’s Hospital- King’s College London. For five years prior to joining OXFORD PLACE DENTAL as the principal dentist, Amir worked in general practices in South Wales. Some of the major courses that he undertook during this time included a two-year diploma course in restorative dentistry at the Faculty of General Dental Practice (RCS England), a year-long certificate course in implant dentistry with Dr David Guy in Cardiff, a comprehensive orthodontic course with Dr Ian Hutchinson in Chepstow, a course in facial aesthetics with Dr Bob Khanna in Reading and a course on sinus grafting with Professors Ucer and Wright in Manchester. Amir and his wife love the Lake District, as they are close to the heart of action, fulfilling their passion for cycling, hiking, rock climbing and water sports.
