Dr Paul Roberts

The Principal Dentist at the Street Lane Dental & Implant Clinic in Leeds is Dr Paul Roberts, a Specialist in Periodontics, registered with the General Dental Council. Paul qualified from Manchester Dental School in 1988 and immediately took up a position as a House Officer at the Dental School. In 1990 Paul entered general practice where he began his interest in periodontology (the study of gums and gum disease) and dental implants. Over a two-year period Paul combined working part-time with studying at Liverpool Dental School resulting in a Masters Degree (MDentSci) in Periodontology in 1995. The next year following further study, Paul was examined and then awarded a Diploma in General Dental Practice from the Royal College of Surgeons [DGDP (UK)]. Over the next few years Paul developed further skills in periodontology and continued to expand his knowledge of dental implants. In 1998 Paul set up the Street Lane Dental Implant Clinic as a referral centre for periodontal and dental implant treatment in Leeds. In 2000 Paul was granted Specialist status in periodontology by the General Dental Council. In 2005 Paul began further study at the Royal College of Surgeons of England and in 2007 was awarded a Diploma in Implant Dentistry [DipImpDent RCS (Eng)] as well as an Advanced Certificate (Adv Cert) recognising his ability to carry out bone grafting procedures.
