I’m originally from Scotland and studied dentistry at the University of Glasgow. I found my passion for dentistry more than 16 years ago when I first got involved in the profession as a dental nurse. I pride myself on providing high-quality general dentistry with a minimally invasive approach, preserving as much healthy tooth as possible with up to date methods such as adhesive white fillings, whitening and short-term orthodontics. I work with my patients to meet their needs, from simple dentistry to improving their smiles and keeping them looking natural. In surgery, I have a friendly and relaxed manner as I feel this helps me to create a stress-free environment, understand any issues my patients may have and get the best outcome for any treatment. I want my patients to feel able to ask me questions, to feel at ease in surgery and, importantly, to feel comfortable during any treatment. I will gladly welcome any questions you may have of me to help make informed decisions surrounding your dental care. I enjoy keeping up to date and increasing my knowledge both by attending courses nationally and by being a regular member of a dental study club. Away from dentistry I am a qualified ski instructor and count the minutes from one ski season to the next. I qualified and worked in New Zealand between nursing and going to university. I enjoy reading, audiobooks and of course a good holiday. My partner and I have dogs and enjoy spending our free time on walks in the Pennines near where we currently live. I also love cars and motorbikes, and have recently passed my bike test, so enjoying being on the road again.
