I qualified from the University of Birmingham in 2021 with a BSc in Dental Hygiene and Therapy. I was drawn to this career because it perfectly combines academic learning with hands-on clinical work—every day brings something new, and I love the balance of thinking and doing. As a dental therapist, I carry out children’s check-ups and treatments, helping younger patients build healthy habits early on. In my role as a hygienist, I provide routine hygiene appointments, carry out deeper cleaning for gum disease treatment, and support patients with long-term maintenance to keep their oral health on track. The best part of my job is, without a doubt, getting to know the patients. I really enjoy building those relationships and helping people feel more confident about their oral health. When I am not at the practice, you’ll most likely find me playing football or going for long-distance runs—staying active is a big part of my life and helps me recharge after a busy day.
