Dr Marisa Monteiro

Marisa is our Principal Dentist here at Islington Smiles. Marisa graduated in 2005 from the esteemed Queen Mary Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry. Having treated patients in both NHS and private practice in London and Cambridgeshire, she has extensive experience in all aspects of general dentistry and orthodontic treatments using brackets and wires, 6month smiles, Invisalign and Fastbraces. Having completed post graduate qualifications, training and courses she has developed a real eye and passion for orthodontics and whitening. Her real passion is smile designing with orthodontics to create beautiful smiles to enhance each person’s natural unique beauty. Marisa is fully certified in the use of Invisalign orthodontics and a Diamond EXPERT and Global Top 150 Invisalign provider of Invisalign (highest accolade). With 15 years of experience she has an extensive portfolio of successful cases, ranging from the very mild to very complex of teeth straightening cases. She is an active member of the British Dental association, Invisalign Academy regularly participating in conferences at home and abroad, as well as in lectures and mentoring programmes with her peers.
