Dr Peter Young

Peter Young is widely recognised as a leading dentist and implant surgeon in the UK. He has gained a national and international reputation for his excellent cosmetic dental implant treatment. Many dentists in the north west of England refer patients to him for oral implants and he has been working in this field for over 20 years. In that time he has performed over 4,000 implant placements and 3,000 bone augmentations. Referring dentists also send patients to Peter for second opinions, complex surgical extractions, apicectomies, bone grafts and wisdom tooth extractions. Peter first qualified in 1981 from Manchester University Dental School and then undertook five years hospital training in oral surgery and prosthodontic dentistry. He has trained in implant dentistry in the United Kingdom, Germany and Sweden. Peter worked for 10 years at Manchester Dental Hospital in their implant clinic. Following 6 years part-time study, teaching and research into implants and bone grafting, he was awarded his Doctorate (PhD) in Implantology and Bone Grafting, in the specialty of oral & maxillofacial surgery. In 2002, Peter was recognised by the General Dental Council as a Specialist in Oral Surgery.
