Kate grew up in Norfolk, close to Wymondham, and has always felt a strong connection to the area. She studied Dentistry in Bristol, qualifying in 1996, and began her career as a Dental Surgeon in Bury St Edmunds, where she worked for two years. In 1998, Kate returned to Norfolk to start her oral surgery career at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, gaining her MFDS from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 2000. When Peppermint opened in 2007, Kate continued working at the hospital alongside growing the practice. She is now based solely at Peppermint and went on to gain her Diploma in Conscious Sedation from the University of Newcastle in 2015. Kate genuinely loves her work and takes great pride in providing oral surgery, dental implants and sedation for both adults and children. The most rewarding part of her job is helping anxious or fearful patients feel at ease and seeing them leave with a smile after a positive experience — often feeling proud of themselves for what they’ve achieved. Outside of Peppermint, Kate enjoys spending time with family and friends, especially when good food is involved, along with the occasional glass of wine! She also loves exploring the outdoors, spotting wildlife and noticing the changing seasons. Her favourite place to relax is by the sea, enjoying the fresh air, the sound of the waves and a good book.
