Abdurahman El-Awa (Abs) is a Consultant in Oral Surgery. He has extensive experience in Oral Surgery and has a special interest in Implant dentistry, Alveolar bone regeneration, Sinus grafting, Complicated extractions, Sedation for nervous dental patients, Apicectomies. Abs qualified in 2003 in Cairo and moved to the UK in 2006 to embark upon specialist training in Oral Surgery. Since then he has trained in Glasgow Dental School, Glasgow Southern General Hospitals, Sheffield Dental School, Sheffield University Hospitals and Royal Derby Hospitals. Abs has completed postgraduate training and specialist clinical experience in Oral Surgery. He is a member of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons of Edinburgh and England and helps to examine oral surgery trainee specialist surgeons. Abs worked as a Consultant Oral Surgeon at Manchester Teaching Hospitals and currently is a Consultant at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals where he teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate dentists and dental students. In his spare time Abs enjoys trail running, fishing and scuba diving.
