Mr Luke Savva

Luke joined the team at Shakespeare Drive in 2018 having previously worked in Derby and Tamworth. After working for several years as an associate, Luke became the owner of Shakespeare Drive Dental Centre in 2022. Luke enjoys providing a wide range of general dental treatments to patients and is particularly fond of root canal treatments, dental implants, and complex rehabilitation cases. He believes that teeth should be for life and takes a great interest in helping older patients keep their natural teeth as healthy as possible. He is also involved in testing new dental materials and techniques for a leading brand (3M ESPE). He completed an MSc in Restorative Dentistry at the University of Birmingham and received dental implant training under the mentorship of specialist dentists in Balsall Common. He completed his Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Implant Dentistry with the Cambridge Academy of Implantology, also with Distinction. With an interest in dental education, Luke works at Birmingham Dental Hospital on Mondays, teaching final year dental students on their clinics. He has just completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Education at the University of Leeds. Luke is married to Jas, who is also a dentist. He supports Derby County and enjoys country walks and spending time in the garden.
