Mohammed joined our team as a Consultant in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in July 2016. After qualifying in 1994, he became a Fellow of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1998 and went on to obtain his Medical Degree from Southampton University. This was followed by his Board Intercollegiate Certification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, granting him Consultancy in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. At St Francis, Mohammed’s role includes the surgical removal of difficult teeth, including wisdom teeth, placing dental implants and apical surgery (apicectomies). He is also pleased to see patients with jaw joint problems, other oral lesions or concerns over facial lesions such as moles. Outside of work, Mohammed is married with a son and enjoys spending time with his family. His hobbies include reading, especially around the field of aviation. Obtaining a private pilot licence is high on his list of priorities!
