Dr Ezgi Cilingir

Dr Ezgi Cilingir graduated from Istanbul University of Dentistry in 2004 as a general dentist. Upon her graduation, she embarked upon her PhD in Periodontology at Marmara University in Istanbul. Ezgi spent 10 years working as a dentist in Turkey offering both general dentistry, periodontal treatments, implants, and oral surgery procedures (wisdom teeth and advanced surgical extractions). Eventually, she moved to the UK together with her family in 2015 and has been working as a private dentist since 2016. Although her main focus has been on periodontal and implant surgery, Ezgi also has experience in emergency dentistry and surgical extractions. At Distinctly Dental, she has proved to be popular with anxious patients as she has a caring and gentle disposition. Furthermore, Ezgi enjoys empowering her patients to take care of their oral health through open communication and education regarding their care. Whilst undertaking her PhD, Ezgi carried out surgical and non-surgical periodontal treatments whilst overseeing undergraduates. She carried out research together with publishing scientific papers on the effects of lasers on periodontal treatments and the relationship between periodontal and cardiovascular diseases.
