Matthew Gill graduated with BDS from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in 1993 winning the Coltman prize for advanced restorative care. He has passed a number of further examinations since then - MFGDP(UK) in 1996, from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Diploma in Conscious Sedation in 1998 from Newcastle University. He was awarded a distinction in Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Implant Dentistry in 2013 from Newcastle University. Matthew was appointed by Queen Elizabeth II to be a Member of the Order of the British Empire for services to Dentistry in 2008. He works as a Speciality Doctor in the Maxillofacial Department for South Tyneside and Sunderland Foundation Trust providing advanced restorative care for patients following head and neck cancer. Matthew is a founding partner of this independent practice in Cleadon which opened in December 2019.
