Mark qualified from Guys Hospital Dental School, University of London in 1991. After graduating, Mark worked in London for several years before returning home to his native Yorkshire in 1994. Mark passed his membership exams of the Faculty of General Dental Practice in February 1998. In July 2004 he was awarded the Advanced Level Certificate of the Diploma in Implantology from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Mark’s practice is limited to Implant dentistry. He has 30 year experience in this specialised field of dentistry. He has acted as a Key Opinion leader for one of the main implant manufacturers and has taught on formal postgraduate courses at Manchester University, Leeds University and The Royal College of Surgeons. He also lectures Nationally on the use of dental implants for the dental rehabilitation of patients. Mark has mentored many dentists and is still involved in teaching advanced techniques in the field of Implantology. Mark is a member of the British Dental Association, The Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry and The Association of Dental Implantology. Mark is from a family of dentists and indeed he is himself the fourth generation in his family; his great grandfather practiced in Leeds and his grandfather, grandmother and father all practiced in Horbury, Wakefield. Mark is married to Kate and they have two children, Harriet and Alexandra. Harriet and her husband Jordan are both dentists and now work alongside Mark at Horbury Dentalcare. Mark and Kate are very proud grandparents to Edward, Oscar and Toby. Outside of dentistry, Mark enjoys cycling and has completed a number of challenges over the last few years including Raid Pyrenees and the N2 Challenge in Portugal.His other hobbies include shooting and travel.
