Tom moved to Horbury Dental Care in 2015, having qualified from Leeds Dental Institute in 2011. He has a special interest in Endodontics (Root Canal Treatment) and restorative dentistry. In 2018 Tom completed the prestigious Diploma in Restorative Dentistry at the Royal College of Surgeons to further develop his clinical skills; and as a result has an excellent skill set to provide restorative dentistry at an advanced level. In 2022 he was awarded a Masters degree in Endodontology with merit; and he accepts endodontic cases on referral. Tom is also one of HDC’s Foundation Dentist Trainers; offering guidance and support to newly qualified dentists. To further his expertise in this area he completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Medical Education at the University of Leeds in 2019. He is Vice Chair of the Wakefield Local Dental Committee and has previously held roles within the Faculty of General Dental Practice at the Royal College of Surgeons of England, including Director of the Yorkshire Division. Tom strives to provide a high standard of patient care; his particular interest in carrying out root canal treatment allows heavily decayed or infected teeth to be saved and restored to function. In his spare time, Tom enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, gardening and making the most of the countryside with his two dogs.
