After qualification, he took the SAAD (Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry) course and has treated many thousands of phobic dental patients using intravenous sedation. Please refer to the Fee Guide page for the total cost of a minimum 1.5- hour intravenous sedation session. Alan has recently updated his original qualification and is versed in the newest techniques and safety aspects. He has a keen interest in Cosmetic Dentistry and has done so since the mid 1980s when he was one of the very first dentists in Britain to place cosmetic porcelain veneers on front teeth to enhance a patient’s smile. He is an experienced dental implantologist with a wealth of experience having placed dental implants (to replace missing teeth) since 1987. He has been an approved Invisalign practitioner for over 20 years. Invisalign is a virtually invisible way to straighten teeth without the need for conventional metal wires and brackets. It is especially suitable for adults who don’t want to be seen wearing braces. Alan keeps fit by running to work.
