Katherine McCarthy (Katie) graduated from University College Cork, Ireland, in 2011 and has lived in the UK since. She moved to the York area to work as a Senior House Officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, at York Hospital and soon fell in love with Yorkshire! She has completed the Diploma of Membership of Faculty of Dental Surgery, at the Royal College of Surgeons, as well as further postgraduate qualification in Conscious Sedation at the University of Newcastle. Katie is excellent at treating anxious patients and always makes them feel at ease. Outside of work, Katie has a young family which keep her very buy. She also enjoys outside activities, and is a keen walker. Katie also loves to travel and it often flying home to Ireland for the weekends.
