Dr. Arango grew up in Pereira, a small city in the coffee region of Colombia. She has lived in the Northern Virginia area for 11 years. She and her husband have five kids: four daughters and one son. Her family also has a Labradoodle named Molly. In her spare time, Dr. Arango enjoys spending time with her family, attending volleyball and football games, and traveling the world. She and her husband enjoy dancing, great wines, and fine dining. Dr. Arango is originally from Colombia, where she began practicing dentistry in 1996 after receiving her doctorate of dental surgery from Autonoma University. When she relocated to the United States, she attended the University of Miami. She completed a one-year general dentistry residency and a one-year fellowship in advanced prosthodontics through the university and at the Jackson Memorial Hospital. She is an active member of the Northern Virginia Dental Society, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. She was also honored to be chosen as one of the Top Dentists by the Washingtonian and Northern Virginia magazines. Dr. Arango is also a part of the Millennium and Spear Study Clubs. Through these study clubs, as well as her participation with Invisalign® and Biomet 3I/Zimmer, she can stay on top of emerging science in dentistry.
