Dr. Amanda Kempainen grew up in upstate New York and earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree with high honors from Boston University School of Dental Medicine. Following dental school, she completed a General Practice Residency at the Veterans Hospital in Utah where she focused on advanced procedures and comprehensive patient care. For several years, Dr. Kempainen worked in private practice in Salt Lake City, providing high-quality dental care to a diverse patient population. Her passion for the mountains, adventure, and the outdoors eventually led her north to Alaska, where she continues to pursue professional excellence. Her approach to dentistry is centered on building strong, trusting relationships and providing a welcoming environment. Outside the office, you can often find her skiing, playing hockey, mountain biking or hiking usually with her yellow Lab, Ida, by her side. She’s also fluent in Norwegian and enjoys traveling to Norway.
