Dr. Nadia Hamouda graduated with honors from Cairo University, School of Dentistry in Cairo, Egypt, in 1983. She obtained her master’s and Ph.D. degrees in oral diagnosis and radiology. She also served as a dental faculty member of her alma mater for 10 years. After moving to the United States in 1994, Dr. Hamouda volunteered at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. She then attended The University of Michigan School of Dentistry Internationally Trained Dentist Program (ITDP) and graduated with honors in 2000. During her studies at the University of Michigan, she received the Grand Prize Award for her research work in the Student Research Fellowship Program and the Comprehensive Care Award for Outstanding Accomplishments in the Patient Care Program. Since 1984, Dr. Hamouda has been practicing general dentistry with special emphasis on cosmetic and restorative dentistry.
