Dr Samantha B. Sciancalepore

Some say Dr. Samantha knew she wanted to be a dentist since the fourth grade, when she dressed up as a tube of Crest toothpaste for Halloween. Dr. Samantha moved to Michigan from her hometown in New Jersey to pursue her undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan in 2014, and met Dr. Dailey in 2016 when she began shadowing prior to dental school. In 2018, Dr. Sciancalepore graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience and began working as an assistant for Dr. Dailey and for our neighbors, McNamara Orthodontics. This is where Dr. Samantha learned she loved working with families, but particularly loved interacting with kids! Dr. Samantha graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry with her doctoral degree of Dental Surgery (DDS) in May 2023. Throughout dental school, Samantha has served as her class & schoolwide president, has been an advocate for mental health, and has been an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Michigan Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry. In addition to treating patients with complex needs at the School of Dentistry and Michigan Medicine, Dr. Samantha spent a significant portion of her fourth year traveling to different communities throughout the state. Her favorite adventures include “traveling up to the Elk capital of Michigan” and “exploring the diverse landscape of Grand Rapids.” Outside of the office, you’re likely to find Dr. Sciancalepore entertaining her two dogs, cooking for her family & friends, and wandering around Ann Arbor admiring all of the local history. Dr. Samantha is available to see patients every day we are open, and we are looking forward to expanding our pediatric care & digital dentistry with her care in our office!
