Dr. Ehmann is a graduate of Cornell University and in a somewhat non-traditional path, spent 2 years in the Peace Corps in Senegal (West Africa) before graduating magna cum laude from the University of Buffalo Dental School in upstate New York. She then spent 3 years in the Navy completing a hospital-based general practice residency at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD, then a year on the USS Enterprise, and finally a year at the Naval Branch Dental Clinic in Norfolk, VA. Directly following her Naval service in 2007, Dr. Ehmann moved to the Annapolis area and was fortunate to join Dr. Kathy’s Farley’s dental practice as an associate. In September of 2012, Dr. Ehmann made the exciting transition to practice owner. Katy is so excited to now have 10+ years working with her most dedicated and wonderful team! Voted a “Top Dentist” by What’s up Annapolis magazine Dr. Ehmann is committed to attending many continuing education courses to stay current in the always-changing and ever-improving field of dentistry. She is a founding member of our local Seattle Study Club affiliate: the Triple Crown Study Club (in its 13th year). This group focuses on team planning for complex, multidisciplinary dental cases and has been an amazing resource to improve our profession. Dr. Ehmann is also a member of the American Dental Association and a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. She has taken numerous training at the Dawson Academy and is an active member of the Chesapeake Implant Study Club. She has attended over 900 hours of continuing education since 2004. Katy enjoys gardening, yoga, and tending to her chickens. She and her husband, Bradley, live in southern Anne Arundel County (West River) with their two teenage children, Lyla and Charlie.
