Born in St. Paul, Dr. Michael Onyekaba grew up in the northern Minneapolis suburb of Andover. He pursued undergraduate studies at the University of Minnesota, where he received a Bachelor of Arts. He earned his DMD from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, with training in general dentistry, oral surgery, periodontal disease, restorative dentistry, crown and bridge, implants and cosmetic dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Minnesota Dental Association, and the Minneapolis District Dental Society. He lives in Minneapolis and enjoys sports, being social, outdoor activities, running, and spending time with friends and family.
