Dr Jane Refela

Dr. Refela is a native of Los Angeles, California. She graduated magna cum laude Honors from UCLA, where she earned her BS degree in Biochemistry. She continued her studies and entered UCLA School of Dentistry with Deans Honor Scholarship, and later earned her doctorate. She was the recipient of the prestigious Academy of Operative Dentistry Award. She published a two part article in the Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry, regarding conservative and esthetic restorative prosthetic technique . Following graduation, Dr. Refela earned an advanced training certificate of General Practice Residency at the Veterans’ Administration Long Beach hospital. She received additional training in Prosthodontics, Oral Surgery, Implant dentistry, and Endodontics. Dr. Refela has served as part-time clinical faculty member at her alma mater, UCLA, where she provided additional training to the residents of the Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the Venice Dental Center. She is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Western Los Angeles Dental Society, Academy of Operative Dentistry, and Academy of RV Tucker Study Clubs. Dr. Refela is passionate about putting her patients at ease and providing them with excellent, conservative treatment choices. It is her priority to listen to their concerns and clearly explain her diagnosis and treatment options, so that together they can decide on the treatment plan that is right for them. During her spare time, she enjoys watching old movies, serving as a Sunday school teacher at her church and spending time with her husband, family, and friends.
