Dr. Hu was raised in Shanghai, China and graduated with a degree in dentistry from Shanghai Dental School in 1983. He then completed his residency training in all aspects of oral maxillofacial surgery and continued to teach at hospitals for many years. During his tenure, Dr. Hu received prestigious awards and was selected and awarded the Japanese Government Scholarship in dentistry. Dr. Hu obtained his Ph.D. in oral surgery at Saga Medical School, Japan by completing his research on immunotherapy for oral cancer and clinical training in implant surgery. Furthering his pursuit of dental excellence, Dr. Hu earned his specialist certificate of prosthodontics in New Jersey Dental School by completing a four-year training in a post-graduate program. Dr. Hu was awarded the Tylman Award by the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics in February of 2008.
