Dr. David Q. Le has practiced in Northern Virginia since 1998, as an associate and then as a co-owner in a private family and cosmetic dentistry practice. Hailing from nearby Fairfax, Virginia, Dr. Le attended the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology in 1993. He graduated cum laude from the Medical College of Virginia - Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in Richmond, Virginia in 1997. He then went on to complete a one-year General Practice Residency at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Here, he received further dental training with medically-compromised patients. Dr. Le is an active member in several dental organizations. These include the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, the Northern Virginia Dental Society (NVDS), the Academy of General Dentistry, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, the Christian Medical and Dental Associations, and the Good Samaritan Medical and Dental Ministry. He is also a delegate of the NVDS, representing Northern Virginia dentists at the annual state dental meetings. Dr. Le has been named one of the DC area’s Top Dentists by Washingtonian Magazine, since 2006. Dr. Le is committed to continuing education in all phases of general dentistry, taking courses with special emphasis on cosmetic and implant disciplines. Dr. Le received his Fellowship Award during the Academy of General Dentistry’s (AGD) Convocation ceremony held in July 2005 in Washington, D.C. He then received the prestigious Mastership Award at the AGD’s Annual Meeting in June 2013 in Nashville, TN. The Mastership Award is the highest AGD honor available and one of the most respected designations within the profession. To earn this award, Dr. Le completed 1,100 hours of continuing dental education and has met structured and rigorous sets of requirements involving all disciplines in dentistry. As a Mastership Award recipient, Dr. Le joins more than 2,300 active AGD Masters who have gone above and beyond the basic requirements to care for their patients’ oral health. Dr. Le earned Fellowship status in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) at its 20th Annual Implant Symposium in December 2009 held in New York City. He was also awarded Mastership status in the ICOI at their award ceremony at the ICOI World Congress XXX, in Istanbul, Turkey in October 2013. ICOI membership signifies commitment to continuous study and training in the field of implantology, whether placing or restoring dental implants. Fellows and Masters of the ICOI have pursued voluntary programs that evaluate and examine their knowledge of implant dentistry by experts in the field. They have been recognized by their peers and are local leaders as well as global ambassadors. They have accepted a lifelong commitment to learning as well as to promoting ICOI's renowned international camaraderie. Dr. Le strongly believes in helping others in underprivileged communities, both locally and abroad. He has donated his time and services to the Northern Virginia Dental Clinic in Falls Church, Virginia. This clinic provides indigents of Fairfax and Arlington Counties the necessary dental care they otherwise would not be able to afford. He also volunteers with the annual Mission of Mercy Project, sponsored and organized by the NVDS. The MOM Project is a two-day annual event, which provides several hundred low income and uninsured residents of Arlington, Alexandria and Fairfax Counties receive free dental care. Dr. Le is also an active member of the Christian Medical and Dental Associations, and serves as the Dental Director and a member of the Board of Directors of the Good Samaritan Medical and Dental Ministry. Through both organizations, he regularly volunteers in overseas dental mission trips to Vietnam that provide basic dental services and preventive dental education to the underprivileged population.
