Dr. James Maddox graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1982 with a BS degree in biology, and again in 1986 with a doctoral degree in dental surgery. Following graduation, he attended a year-long General Practice Residency at the Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. Dr. Maddox has completed five continuums at the Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Studies and four others at the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Education. Dr. Maddox is a lifelong resident of Asheville, where he now lives with his wife, Denise, stepson, Ryan, and son, Cooper.
