Dr. Jundt is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon who received a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from Southwestern University and subsequently attended UTHSC San Antonio School of Dentistry, where he earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with honors and distinction in research. Following dental school, Dr. Jundt completed medical school at UTHCS Houston in the Texas Medical Center. After residency, Dr. Jundt continued in academic medicine as an Assistant Professor, teaching residents, writing scientific manuscripts, and lecturing dental students, medical students, physicians and surgeons. He continues to enjoy learning new techniques and products, and he is a consultant for several major medical device companies with the singular aim to improve patient outcomes. His professional interests include noninvasive methods to accelerate dental implant osseointegration, novel surgical device development, facial trauma, cost containment in health care, and the role of virtual surgical planning and 3D printing in surgery.
