Dr Young H. Kim

Dr. Young H. Kim came to the United States as an international student at age 19 and attended Loma Linda University in Riverside, California. After her junior year, she was accepted to the Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After graduation, she practiced dentistry briefly in Philadelphia and then relocated to Naperville, Illinois in 1990. She joined a private practice in 1992 and became a partner in 1995. In December 2010, Dr. Kim purchased full ownership of Lincolnway Dental Center (LDC) and continued to grow her dental practice in the heart of Aurora. She completed her first Dental Mission trip to Colombia, South America in 2016, and went back to Colombia two more times to care for various communities in need. She also loves her Aurora community, and she has a passion to care for patients both near and far. Dr. Kim practices general preventative dentistry as well as restorative, cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Kim also specializes in early interceptive orthodontic treatment, which usually requires no extractions as well as “invisible” braces. Dr. Kim is always willing to go the extra mile for her patients, addressing all of their concerns and making their smiles healthy and beautiful at the same time. Besides being a dentist and a successful business woman, Dr. Kim is also a full-time wife and mother of two beautiful, successful children. Her husband Chi is a local attorney who maintains an office at the LDC office building, and he is very supportive of her practice. Her daughter Crystal recently graduated from dental school at UIC and is now a licensed dentist. She is also a resident of the Periodontal Program at UIC. Her son Alex is a Brand Manager at Proctor & Gamble in Cincinnati, Ohio. He currently resides in Cincinnati with his beautiful new wife Emilie. When she is not working at LDC, Dr. Kim is active in her church, and enjoys cooking, pilates and working out with her husband.
