Dr. Matthew Phillips is a highly skilled dentist with advanced training in surgery and implant dentistry. Originally from Livermore, California and raised in Mesa, Arizona, he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from New York University College of Dentistry in 2004. Dr. Phillips served ten years as a dentist in the U.S. Army, including deployments to South Korea, Iraq, Hawaii, and Maryland. During his service, he completed three years of advanced surgical training and developed a strong passion for implant dentistry and full-arch restorations, helping patients restore function and confidence in their smiles. After separating from the Army as a Major with an honorable discharge, Dr. Phillips continued refining advanced implant techniques, including All-on-4® and implant-retained dentures. He has also held leadership roles in surgical dentistry, training other providers and establishing clinical protocols. Dr. Phillips is proud to serve patients as part of the Mod Dentistry Avondale team.
