Dr Dana A. Truesdale

Dr. Dana A. Truesdale is a comprehensive, family, and cosmetic dentist with over 20 years of clinical experience, known for her gentle approach, clinical excellence, and deep commitment to whole-body wellness through dentistry. A native of Vacherie, Louisiana, Dr. Truesdale began her academic journey at Dillard University in New Orleans, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree. She went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in Nashville, Tennessee. Following dental school, she completed a General Practice Residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, gaining advanced training in comprehensive and hospital-based dental care. Dr. Truesdale practices dentistry with a strong emphasis on the oral-systemic connection—the vital link between oral health and overall health. She is passionate about educating patients on how conditions of the mouth can influence the heart, brain, immune system, and total well-being. Her clinical interests include preventive care, restorative dentistry, root canal therapy, occlusal splint therapy, clear aligner treatment, and emergency dental care. She is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, the International Academy of Mini Dental Implants, and the American Dental Society, and has pursued advanced education through the Pankey Institute and the Vivos Institute.
