Dr. Kirk G. Ellender was born in Houma, Louisiana. His father, Rudolph Ellender, was an ophthalmologist and ENT M.D. Dr. Ellender attended Catholic Elementary and high school, then earned an undergraduate degree from Nicholls State University in 1978 and a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from LSU School of Dentistry in 1983. He has practiced general dentistry for the last 40 years. Dr. Ellender enjoys serving the public in his profession and building meaningful relationships with people. Some of his hobbies and interests include cooking, fishing, tennis, playing guitar, eating out and attending Catholic mass.
