Dr. William Chakar was born and raised in Orange County, California. He graduated as Valedictorian from Servite Catholic High School and earned his bachelor’s degree in biology at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He completed both a Master of Science degree in Global Public Health and a Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Southern California (USC) and graduated as a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU), the national dental honors society. Dr. Chakar moved to Louisiana to complete an internship in oral and maxillofacial surgery through LSU where he received extensive training in dentoalveolar surgery, trauma and oral pathology at both Our Lady of the Lake Hospital and University Medical Center New Orleans. Dr. Chakar offers comprehensive dental care ranging from cosmetic dentistry to oral surgery to his patients in the greater Baton Rouge area. In his free time Dr. Chakar enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants and staying active.
