Received his DMD from University of Oregon Dental School and a Masters in Oral Biology from George Washington University. Held clinical, academic, research, advisory and command positions during a 26-year career with the U.S. Army, retiring as a Colonel and Commander of the North Atlantic Regional Dental Command, Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Participated in state and local committees on oral health care access, integration and quality since 1999.
