Mr Shafia Khawaja,

Dr. Shafia Khawaja is a skilled periodontist specializing in the treatment of periodontitis, peri-implantitis, dental implant therapy, regenerative procedures, and periodontal plastic surgery to address gum recession. With a strong commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care, she collaborates closely with general dentists to ensure her patients receive the highest quality treatment. Dr. Khawaja’s background in psychology provides her with a unique perspective on the importance of compassion, particularly when treating patients with dental anxiety. Her previous experience as a general dentist further enhances her ability to connect with patients, making them feel comfortable and understood throughout their treatment journey. Dr. Khawaja's dedication to clinical growth is reflected in her academic accomplishments. During her residency, she completed a thesis and conducted additional research, which earned her first place at Science Day at Boston University.
