Dr. Flippen loves helping people rediscover their confidence by giving them stunning smiles. Nothing makes him happier than seeing someone light up because they finally feel great about their teeth. He hopes to do the same for you and your loved ones. Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist? Initially, Dr. Flippen wanted to become a physician because he thought it would be prestigious. However, every family friend who was a physician suggested that he look into dentistry. This included a renowned Harvard-trained cardiologist, and conveniently, his son was a dentist. So, Dr. Flippen ended up shadowing him. This allowed him to see how dentists combine art, science, and engineering to rebuild people’s mouths and change their lives, and he quickly knew it was the career for him. What Do You Like to Do Outside of the Dental Office? Life at home is wonderfully busy for Dr. Flippen and his wife, thanks to their five children. Luckily for them, they have plenty of other kids to play with because Dr. Flippen has five siblings of his own! He started practicing Taekwondo when he was younger, and it’s still an essential part of his life. He also enjoys hunting, painting, reading, and brewing his own beer.
