Dr. William Peterson earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Washington, School of Dentistry, and then completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency through the US Navy at Great Lakes Naval Station in Illinois. Following this, he served as a naval dental officer in Sasebo, Japan for three years, meeting the dental needs of overseas military families. Dr. Peterson favors a conservative approach to dentistry, focusing on prevention, education, and a minimally invasive approach. To achieve this goal, our practice employs proven state-of-the-art techniques and technologies including digital X-rays, intraoral cameras, surgical loupes, diagnostic lasers, and a CEREC 3D CAD/CAM digital impression and milling unit. Communication is essential to success, so he aims to clearly explain all options and recommendations to his patients. Giving back to the community is one of Dr. Peterson’s passions. Since 2015, he has served as a dental director for the Seattle King County Clinic, which provides free dental, medical, and vision care to the underserved in the community. He’s also an affiliate faculty member at the University of Washington, School of Dentistry. Recently, he was honored to become a fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy, an organization that recognizes professionalism, integrity, and ethics in dentistry worldwide.
