Dr. Alec Yen, a board certified Periodontal specialist, received his Doctor of Dental Medicine from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. He continued his advanced general dentistry training with University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for one year before returning to Tufts for his Certificate in Periodontics. After graduation in 2004, Dr. Yen worked full time in private practice in the Boston area and served as part-time Assistant Clinical Professor and Research Associate at Tufts Dental. He left Boston in 2007 and joined the practice of ZCZ Perio in Maryland. Currently, he is a Dean’s Faculty member at the University of Maryland Dental School.
