Mr J. Nathan Gray

Nathan is a native of Clanton, AL, and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Science from Auburn University. He chose to pursue dentistry as a profession because of his attention to fine detail, love of problem solving and desire to make a difference in his community. He spent a gap year in Homewood through the Briarwood Fellows as an intern at Dr. Friday’s office, the original owner here. He attended University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry where he met his wife, Mechay, on the first day of orientation. The rest is history! Together, they have gone on dental mission trips to Guatemala, Honduras and the Dominican Republic. Dr. Nate, as he is known around the office, is passionate about seeking excellence in his work, putting patients at ease, and helping others build confidence through a flourishing, beautiful smile. He is a self-proclaimed sucker for a good before and after picture! He enjoys spending his free time working with his hands, playing music, flyfishing, hiking and being a dad to his son and two daughters. Dr. Nate is a proud member of the ADA, ALDA and the Birmingham District Dental Society. He is also trained through the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine to provide alternatives to CPAP therapy for sleep apnea. He is passionate about educating his patients on the connection between dental care and overall health.
