Dr John Aiken

Dr. John Aiken is the cosmetic dentist at the helm of Inverness Smiles: John Aiken, DMD, located in Birmingham, Alabama. He believes in developing long-term relationships with his patients and strives to care for the needs of entire families — from babies to grandparents. For Dr. Aiken, patients aren’t just a number — they are valued family members. Dr. Aiken worked as a teacher for eleven years before pursuing a career in dentistry. His career in teaching took him from Vermont to Guinea, West Africa, South Korea, and the state of Georgia. Dr. Aiken then took a personality test to discover the perfect profession to match his inner being. The results pointed toward farming, race car driving, and dentistry. Dr. Aiken chose dentistry and graduated from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry. He loves being able to help his patients with their dental needs and looks forward to going to work every day. When he’s not in the office, he enjoys camping, gardening, photography, and scuba diving, but not all four simultaneously.
