Dr. Thomas Cosgrove is a native of Birmingham, AL. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he studied natural sciences and philosophy. From 1986 until 1994, he served as a research associate in UAB’s Department of Anesthesiology’s Research Division, coauthoring two publications on oxygen free radical and antioxidant metabolism in vascular diseases. He completed his Doctorate in Dental Medicine in 1995 at the University of Alabama School of Dentistry. He is an active member of the Birmingham District Dental Society, Alabama Dental Association, American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and UAB School of Dentistry Alumni Association.
